A Spoonful of Poison is an open-mic night based in London, established circa 2005 at the Rhythm Factory, E1
All disciplines are warmly welcomed – music, comedy, poetry and all random performance.
NO COVERS are allowed.
After a very successful 2013 at The Finsbury at Manor House we are currently taking a break from running a weekly open-mic and biding our time before settling on a new venue… we’ll instead hold the occasional Spoonful Special with over-flowing line-ups culled from the best of our regular performers, with precious few open spots… the first of these was on FRI 24th JAN and we’ll be doing another on SAT 22nd FEB.
however, this is how things normally work…
Entry is FREE – sign up on the night between 7&8pm to perform.
Standard open spots are 7 mins for (smaller) musical acts, 5 mins for spoken word and anything else.
A limited amount of open spots each week are pre-bookable by emailing Spoon.
